This policy explains how Voo collects, uses, and shares information when you create an account, go live, connect a camera, watch a broadcast, or use related features such as Studio, recordings, and YouTube delivery.
Account information. When you register, we store your name, email address, and a hashed password. We also store account status, role, timezone, trial dates, and the time the account was created or updated.
Broadcasts and media. If you create a show, we store the title, description, category, privacy setting (public, unlisted, or private), status, schedule, stream key, whether recording is enabled, and related session details such as start and end times and viewer counts. Media you add may include a title, filename, file path, type, and size. Recordings store a title and file path tied to your account.
Cameras and devices. When you open the camera page, we store a device identifier kept in your browser, a camera name, browser information, status, and the time of the last heartbeat. We do not receive camera, microphone, or screen video until you choose Start camera, This device camera, or Share screen and allow that access in the browser. That audio and video is used to produce the live program for the broadcast you selected.
Watching. When you join a public or unlisted watch page, we may store a random visitor identifier and the time you joined, so the broadcaster can see that someone is watching. We do not require an account to watch a public broadcast.
Subscriptions. If you start a trial or choose a plan, we store the plan, status, start and end dates, and cancellation time. Payment records, when created, include amount, currency, status, and gateway name.
YouTube. If you connect a YouTube channel, we store OAuth access and refresh tokens, token expiry, and the channel id and title returned by Google. Those tokens are used only to create and manage live events on the channel you connected. Each Voo account connects its own channel.
Technical data. We keep short-lived API tokens for signed-in browser sessions, a session cookie that keeps you signed in, and signaling messages (offers, answers, and network candidates) needed to connect Studio, cameras, and viewers. We also store your theme choice and device id in local storage on your device.
Voo does not use third-party advertising cookies.
Public and unlisted broadcasts, including their titles and the live or recorded picture and sound you send, are visible to people who have the watch link. Private broadcasts are not listed for the public.
If YouTube delivery is enabled, video and broadcast details needed to start the event are sent to Google/YouTube under the Google account you authorize. Google’s own privacy policy applies to that service.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service operators who host this Voo installation, when the law requires it, or when you direct us to (for example, by connecting YouTube or setting a broadcast to public).
Account, broadcast, device, media, recording, and subscription records are kept while your account is active and you have not deleted them. API tokens are deleted when you sign out. Signaling messages are kept only as needed to connect participants in a broadcast. YouTube tokens are deleted when you disconnect your channel. If an account is removed, we delete or detach the personal data tied to it, except where we must keep a record for security, billing, or legal reasons.
Passwords are stored as hashes. Stream keys and YouTube tokens are treated as secrets and are not shown on public watch pages. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; use a unique password and do not share stream keys or sign-in links.
Voo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them. If you believe a child has registered, contact the site operator and ask for the account to be removed.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of Voo after the update means you accept the revised policy.
Questions about this policy can be sent to the operator of the Voo website where you created your account. See also the Terms & Conditions.
